Concerned about diabetes? A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine offers a real-life solution! Five hundred subjects were examined and given the following three goals:
  • Lose weight. Limit fat intake to thirty percent of calories consumed.
  • Take in less than ten percent saturated fat.
  • Engage in moderate exercise at least thirty minutes a day.
The results were amazing! After four years the incidence of diabetes dropped sixty four percent in men and fifty-four percent in women. Not one subject who achieved all of the goals developed diabetes! Set your goals - and then stick to them for the long haul!
