About Those Scales...

The scale doesn't always tell the full story. After starting an exercise program, you can work out for as many as 4-months and lose only a couple of pounds. Don't let that discourage you. When you begin an exercise program to lose weight don't look at the scale. It's fickle. One day your weight is down. The next day your weight could be up and you might become discouraged. A better idea: get a tape and measure the areas you want to reduce. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat so your clothes should be a more accurate measure of progress than the scale!
