The Importance of Stretching

A good stretch at the proper time could be more important than you know!  In a recent study several hundred adults were divided into three control groups.
  • The first group stretched out after a workout.
  • The second after each exercise.
  • The third didn't stretch at all.
The results were startling! All three groups showed increases in strength, but the group that didn't stretch gained only 29 percent in strength after 10 weeks. That's compared to a 37 percent gain for stretching after each exercise and a whopping 54 percent gain for those who stretched at the end of a workout. Some of the most important workout tips are also the easiest! Stretch after every workout!
