Sugar and Children

Research published October 27 of this year in the journal Obesity found that removing most of the sugar from children's diets has an immediate positive effect, even if the amount of calories and carbohydrates are maintained. For the research, forty-three obese children took part in a nine-day diet that severely restricted sugar intake. The sugars were replaced with starchy foods to maintain calorie and carb levels . The diet brought on immediate reductions in high blood pressure and improved blood sugar and cholesterol levels!
