Reducing Heart Disease Risk

Looking to reduce your risk of heart disease? Try eating whole grain cereal for breakfast. A study of nearly seven thousand men found those who ate a bowl of whole grain cereal each day reduced their risk of heart failure by 28 percent. Experts believe the cereal may help lower blood pressure which may reduce your risk of heart disease. Read the labels on your cereal to make sure you're getting whole grain. Look for those with at least 25% whole grain or bran and at least 4 grams of fiber per serving. The more fiber the better!
