Here's a tip that's definitely easy to swallow. New research shows that green tea extract may be a potent new weapon in the battle of the bulge! The study shows that tea extract blocks the production of digestive enzymes that help the body break down fat. As a result, fat passes through the system rather than ending up as body fat. This research shows green tea extract can cut absorption of fat by as much as 40-percent. The results were the same for subjects ranging from overweight to obese. Another study, published by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that green tea extract resulted in a significant increase in energy expenditure, and had a significant effect on fat oxidation.
