How to Measure Yourself

Easy tips

Chest

Place the measuring tape just under your breasts/pecs and measure around the torso while keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

Waist

Place the measuring tape about a 1/2 inch above your bellybutton (at the narrowest part of your waist) to measure around your torso. When measuring your waist, exhale and measure before inhaling again.

Hips

Place the measuring tape across the widest part of your hips/buttocks and measure all the way around while keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

How to Photograph Yourself

Easy tips

In order to get the most accurate results please remember to always take your photos in the same location, with the same bright lighting, and in the same clothing. Be sure to not altar your photos or your body in any of the photos. Try and wear clothing that is not baggy or hides your figure. Form-fitting athletic clothing in bright colors work best.

1. Pick a location with optimum lighting.

The location you choose should be brightly lit. Natural light works best.

2. Wear the same clothing in each photograph.

Wearing the same outfit helps us easily compare your progress. Try and wear clothing that is not baggy or hides your figure. Form-fitting athletic clothing in bright colors work best.

3. Stand up tall with your chest out and shoulders back.

Be sure to not alter your photos or your body in any of the photos. Smile!

4. Take photographs clearly and in focus.

Do not angle your perspective. Keep the background clear and frame yourself in the center so the focus of the photograph is on you.
