Reducing Heart Disease Risk

You can reduce your risk of heart disease by eating whole grain cereal for breakfast! A study of nearly seven thousand men found those who ate a bowl of whole grain cereal each day reduced their risk of heart failure by 28 percent. Experts believe the cereal may help lower blood pressure which may reduce your risk of heart disease. Read the labels on your cereal to make sure you're getting whole grain. Look for those with at least 25 percent whole grain or bran and at least 4 grams of fiber per serving. The more fiber the better!
