Cardiovascular Disease Risks

If you have a history of cardiovascular disease in your family you may be worried about your long-term health risks.  The good news is, you can take control of the situation! A recent study found women can significantly cut their risk of having a heart attack by doing 5 things: eating right, exercising, maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol consumption and not smoking. Researchers came to these conclusions after studying more than 24 thousand women. They found that women who ate right and limited their alcohol lowered their risk of heart attack by 57 percent, but the women who did all five things lowered their risk of heart attack by a whopping 92 percent! There's no reason not to do these simple things, it could save your life.
