Cardio Is Good To Go
Is cardio vascular training as important as resistance or weight training?
It's no secret regular physical activity provides a wide range of healthy benefits. But a recent study in the Journal of the Medical Heart Association found cardio-vascular training decreased blood pressure, cholesterol, and dangerous blood clots.
In fact, studies have shown the risk of death from heart disease drops as regular fitness activity rises. The Centers for Disease Control reports the risk of cardio-vascular death is nearly 6 times greater among its severely out of shape subjects than for its most fit subjects.
The bottom line: an exercise routine should include both aerobic and resistance training.
