Warm Weather Workouts

Maximize your warm weather workouts with a few adjustments to your training routine.

It's essential that you take steps to allow your body time to adapt to a warm weather workout. Reduce the volume and intensity for the first few days of warm weather. Gradually phase in heat training with low intensity workouts between 30-and 60-minutes.

For your body to adapt, it's not necessary to work out in the heat every day. Studies show that exercising in the heat every third day is just as effective as working out in the heat ten days straight! Again, give you body time to adapt. If you don't, you could suffer heat exhaustion. Or even stroke!
