Peter's Principles - Exercise
Mind Over Matter
Are there physical activities that can help minimize memory loss? The answer is yes! A recent study from U-C San Francisco finds that even moderate activity protects brain function. It increases blood flow and decreases the risk of diseases that interfere with memory. The brain is a "use it or lose it" organ!
Scientists say lack of function can result from lack of use! You can't beat a good workout. But there are other ways to stay mentally sharp. Try word puzzles, socializing, or learning a new language. Or even mastering a computer! After the gym take in a movie, or better yet the theater. A total workout package will stimulate both the body and the mind.
