Healthy Recipes from Peter's Principles
Low-Fat Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

2/3 cup natural applesauce
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2/3 cup flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
2 egg whites
2 whole eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients (except nuts) with an electric mixer. Fold in nuts and pour batter into pan. Bake the batter for 30-minutes or until a toothpick test comes out clean.

Note: These brownies do not hold nice clean edges when cut, but they are every bit delicious for being fat free!
