Jason from Wyandotte says he doesn't need to lose weight, so why should he exercise?
Well Dave, high HDL cholesterol could help fight Alzheimer's Disease. A new study found high levels of HDL, the good cholesterol, appears to help preserve mental function in older people.

Jason, it is simple, exercise is good for your heart! Numerous studies have found exercise enhances your entire cardiovascular system, including your heart, which means a reduced risk of heart disease. Think about it. Your heart is a muscle, if you do aerobic exercise you are working your heart, making it bigger and stronger which will protect it from disease. As your heart gets bigger and stronger it is able to pump more blood which helps deliver oxygen to muscles and carry away waste. It also helps lower your blood pressure. A recent study found regular exercise can lower blood pressure by 10 points. It can even prevent the onset of hypertension. So, put your heart into it and get out and exercise!

Mike from Southfield emails for tips on maximum muscle development.
Mike, muscles grow best when you supply them with generous amounts of amino acid, calories and anabolic hormones like testosterone! Taking away any of those components can slow or inhibit muscle growth. Proper timing of these anabolic triggers can make all the difference in the success or failure of your weight program. The muscles remain stressed for about 48 hours after a workout and that is the time when they grow! A post exercise carbohydrate-protein shake is excellent for stimulating growth. The carbs will increase insulin levels in a healthy way and your muscles will feed on the amino acids. A successful body builder considers all factors. And the right post-exercise nutrition is essential. The 48 hour rule is a principle you can set your watch by!

First, eat a well balanced diet including protein, fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Make sure you are drinking enough water. 75% of Americans suffer with dehydration. This can lead to depression, mood swings and fatigue. You should drink 8 glasses a day. You also need to exercise! Even I fyou feel too tired, get up and get moving. It is one of the best ways to fight fatigue!
