Soda Pop and Health Risks
If you drink up to 3 soda pops a day you should know the health risks.
Like millions of other Americans, you can be drowning in liquid candy! Pop is big business! In 1997 Americans spent 54-billion dollars on carbonated beverages. But here are some sobering statistics!
A 12-ounce can of pop has ten teaspoons of sugar and 150 empty calories! Pop is also a major contributing factor to teenage weight problems, and may cause men who've had kidney stones to have a recurrence. Many kinds of soda pop are also a source of mildly addictive caffeine. Bottom line, when you want to quench your thirst, it's a better idea to reach for the water fountain than the soda fountain!
