Graze don't Gorge
Eating mini-meals may be the secret to staying slim as we get older. Grazing, or eating several smaller meals, is better for you than eating three square meals a day.
A new study found that after eating 250 and 500 calorie meals older women were able to burn the same number of calories as a woman aged 25! But when they moved up to a one-thousand calorie meal, the older women burned 60 fewer calories than young women.
In just one year, that could sneak on six pounds and may help explain age-related weight gain. It sure makes mini-meals look smarter than ever!
