Apple Cider and e-Coli Bacteria

Apple cider has been linked to e-Coli, but help may be as near as your kitchen cupboard! Research shows that cinnamon can kill the potentially deadly bacteria. Scientists contaminated 64-ounces of cider with e-coli. Then they added cinnamon.

After 24-hours just one teaspoon of cinnamon had reduced the e-coli to nearly undetectable levels. So, if your family enjoys a glass of cider, then cinnamon is the perfect way to add a little spice and safety to your cider sipping!
